Well, now the summer countdown is really underway. With less than a week of school left, it is so easy to slack off on school work and not worry about those final exams. But outside of the school world is this idea of “slacking off” relevant? Absolutely! It can be the same for work at the end of the week or even towards the end of an event you are volunteering for. Why is it that it is so easy to want to quit or simply not do our best when the end is actually in sight? You would think that when we can see the light at the end of the tunnel that we would work even harder! For example, I have the SATs coming up and it has been so hard for me to just sit down and study. In Florida, we have a scholarship called Bright Futures and if you score a certain average on the SAT then you can get a 100% scholarship towards a public Florida state school. I am just 230 points away from this scholarship. Now the test is less than ten days away. If I sit down and study, those 230 points can become a reality. I know what I need to do, the question comes down to “will I do it?” How about you? What is it that you know you need to do or that you should do? Just do it today. You will be so happy tomorrow. I promise–I know!
