I never really considered myself a “seasons” kinda gal, but lately, I’m appreciating the ebb and flow that comes with winter melting into spring, spring blooming into summer, summer cooling into fall, and fall inviting us to start the process all over again.
As we brush off our sandy toes and wave goodbye to summer, I’m anticipating yummy Pumpkin Spice lattes, college football games (Go Gators!), the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K, and crisp, cool mornings. I’m excited for the change.
But I don’t always anticipate change with excitement. Sometimes it terrifies me. Sometimes it confuses me. Sometimes it leaves my mind reeling wondering what if?
What do we do when change happens? Both change we’re excited about…but also change we’re not so excited about?
This month at BecomingMe.TV, we’re talking about change…the good, the bad, and the ugly. Change isn’t always as fun as welcoming seasonal latte flavors, but even the tough change is oh-so important on our becoming journeys because how we respond to the changing seasons in our lives determines who we’re becoming.
How can I pray with and for you during this August series? Drop me a line here. Here’s one thing I know about change—”becoming” is the pursuit of constantly changing, growing, and learning…when we’re passionately pursuing becoming who God made us to be, we’re welcoming change—even the not-so-fun change, because it sharpens us…but only if we choose to lean in and intentionally walk through it.
Are you with me? Are you ready? Friend, it’s time to lace up our warrior boots. We have a battle to fight.
