Two Visual Reminders I’m Embracing On My Becoming Journey Right Now

 In Emily Cummins

I love visual reminders of who I am & who I’m becoming. Two of my favorite reminders right now? These bracelets!

With every step I take, I want to:
(1) Not repeat the same old pattern loops… over & over & over, repeating the things I want to grow up & through. This circle bracelet reminds me to STOP the habit loop & step into the NEW day, choosing to be who God made me to be.

(2) Sparkle with God’s joy. This pink bracelet is from Jennie Lusko’s #TheFightToFlourish swag, & it reminds me to live as God fashioned me to—to bring out the GOOD in those around me. As Jennie shared in her book, “We were designed to bring good & to unlock favor in the lives of people around us… you have a great superpower—to bring good… when we look to the One who created us & breathed His breath in us, we shine. Psalm 34:5 says, ‘They looked to Him & were radiant, & their faces were not ashamed.’ We can shine in the darkness because we look to God… we flourish when we reflect Jesus. Everything we do in this current season is preparing us for the next one… training for the trial we’re not yet in. Fighting to grow sets us up to glow in the dark, so each step is essential to the next. The flourishing life is all about being faithful with the small things & watching God handle the impossible.”

A circle & a star. Two reminders by my becoming tattoo, inviting me to step out of pattern loops & choose to be who God made me to be, & to reflect Jesus with every step I take. ??

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬

Warrior friend, are you rocking a symbol reminding you of a truth God is teaching you? What is it? I’d love to hear! Drop a comment & let me know!
