You Are a Treasure at the Top of the Tree

 In Dating

A friend of mine sent me a really cool story about how special we really are! Girls are precious works of God. Hello, we ARE His princesses. We must carry ourselves with pride and dignity. We have a mighty Father.
I know that waiting for your prince charming to come along is hard–believe me, I am in there with you! But know (and believe it with all of your heart) that Jesus has the right guy picked out especially for you and for me. Have you ever heard the saying “good things take time”. Well, we can relate that to dating as well. Sometimes in order to find God’s man for our lives we will have to wait a while and you know what, that is OK! During our time of waiting we can learn to trust Jesus and grow closer to Him each and every day. Think of it as a time to prepare yourself to be all that God wants you to be without a boy getting in the way. Boys do not define us. Let me repeat that….BOYS DO NOT DEFINE US! Jesus defines you. Get your confidence from Him alone. Make Jesus your number one priority, then family, school, sports, friends, etc. Let the guys fall last! When thinking about dating, remember this little anecdote….

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Very interesting quote.. Sadly, I know plenty of men who are willing to climb to the top of the tree but only find disappointment. Many girls in the church today are into materialism and vanity and are not really serious about the things of God. They are more into things of their everyday life. Many friends of mine want a deeply spiritual and Godly woman, but start talking theology and they run the other way. Everyone I know would bend over backwards to find a woman at the top of the tree that is Godly, theologically smart and does not want to be part of this world in terms of culture, etc…

I do not know your church background but maybe you are looking into the wrong locations?

Most of Pop Christian culture just tries to mimic the world but about a few decades behind…

    Just some thoughts….
