This past Tuesday night I began lifeguard training and boy is it intense! Today we trained for about six hours at the pool and tomorrow we are training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The work is hard, but the results are definitely worth it! I guess you could say that with everything that we have to work for. Whether it be grades, attitudes, relationships, or something that we really enjoy doing, we need to work at it with all of our might and then enjoy the results. You see, the training hours that I am putting in for becoming a professional lifeguard will help prevent injuries and save peoples’ lives. When I take my training seriously, I am preparing to work seriously and reap the benefits. When I study I am preparing for a good grade. When I practice my dancing I am preparing for a good performance. Whatever we do in this life requires hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Once we are willing to do this, we can accomplish anything!
