I’m learning the action of faith. The past two weeks have been full of listening, reading, eyes opening & fresh understanding. My takeaway? The only way to change my world is to change ME.
I’m committed to the gritty work of application every day. At the end of my becoming story, I want to look back & see how deeply I loved Jesus, myself, those around me & how much I grew along the way.
Warrior friend, there’s becoming to do. It’s messy. And hard. It’s rooted here, in knowing God & discovering who He made us to be, & then APPLYING what we learn, that we truly flourish! ???
Truths from God’s Word I’m embracing:
“So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead & useless.” James 2:17
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers & authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, & against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth & the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, & take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times & on every occasion. Stay alert & be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:12-18

“Don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word & don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, & forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, & if you do what it says & don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:22-25
